How do I know if I have the best size?Updated a month ago
You shouldn't feel “hot spots” or any uncomfortable pressure when you try the footwear on for the first time. We recommend having adequate room when the footwear is brand new to avoid a tight fit, as you shouldn't have to force your way into comfort. You should not have to stretch your footwear to find a sufficient fitting.
We encourage our customers to slide the footwear on and stand in place to determine if there are any tight or uncomfortable areas. Wear makes the upper, insole, and outsole more flexible, allowing the heel to hold easier instead of resisting when walking. The thick leather heel counter's shape will also start forming on your foot, aiding the hold of the heel and reducing the heel slip.
The shoe is brand new, and the internal shape of the shoe was formed by the last. With wear, these leather components begin forming to your foot shape, releasing pressure in certain areas and gaining overall contact with the foot. This ultimately allows the two to work simultaneously rather than separately. We want your feet to have enough room to spread out naturally so that you're not feeling pinched by the end of a full day of wear.
If you have received an order and would like guidance or feedback, please send us an image with the footwear (laced up) on your feet. It is always helpful to see what you're dealing with; we are happy to discuss the spacing and listen to your fitting experience.
