We use Charles F. Stead Repello calf suede for all of our suede offerings. Click here for a link from the tannery about this quality suede article from CF Stead. The leather is treated with 'Scotch Guard' during tannage, and while the suede is not waterproof, it can take water without damage. It’s the salt you’ll have to monitor that is what hurts the leather most.

If the boots get wet, we suggest letting them dry out naturally before wearing them again. Using a pair of shoe trees is always helpful. We have some customers who use Saphir Suede Waterproof Spray.
The Saphir Suede Eraser is designed to remove unwanted marks and stains from suede without damaging the nap. This is an excellent tool for restoring the texture of the suede without altering the article.
